What other band could I made a page of than Pink Floyd? What other band gives a soul to they music as Pink Floyd does? What other best page to visit than this one :-) ? The Pink Floyd, a musical phenomena, for me the best band that exists and that will ever exist. I have to admit that I didn't start listening to them a long time ago, I started somewhat recently but I'm also young so its not my fault :-). When I first listened to them I didn't really enjoy their music except for a couple of songs but then, when I started to hear it more often and to understand what their music was all about I realized that I was listening to the best band of all time.
As a musician, I couldn't hear their music without making my own appreciation about their individual values, and I noticed that they are not the best musicians that ever existed, far from that, but they have one thing that no other band has, they know how to make music and they have the most original style doing it. When I heard their longest songs like Atom heart Mother, Echoes or Shine on you Crazy Diamond I was so surprised, I had no doubt I was listening to the best songs of my life, all I wished was that I could make music as well as them. I think I'm not lying when I say that they were the reason why God invented music.
If you are a newbie and you are trying to know more about them like what are their best albums or what would I advice to buy, I have to say "buy all of them". When I started I didn't knew absolutely nothing about them or their history, I decided to buy an album so I went to the net to look for their discography so that I could know what to buy. As I knew more names of songs that went on the radio, I choose to buy the Wall. When I listened to it and I thought it was a work of art, I thought they couldn't have an album better than this. I was wrong, I was very wrong. If you want to know which albums to buy since you cant buy them all, choose about 5 albums, any albums, with some years between them. you'll notice a big change on their style trough the years but you will like them all.
Ok, enough said, this page is my personal tribute to them. I think its well made but it doesn't have any spectacular design, its simple and its not completed (I hope it never will be). Hope you like it. Have fun.
